With over two decades of professional experience as a physician to his credit, Dr. Hee-Young Kim is an otolaryngologist, and current president of the Kim Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic located in Seoul. Prior to this, he served as director of the Shinil Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic from 2002 to 2011. From 1999 to 2000 he was an attending of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at Chung-Ang University Hospital, and in 2000 he was an attending otolaryngologist at Anyang Hospital.
Dr. Kim received his medical education at Chung-Ang University, and completed an MD in 1990. His subsequent internship took place at Chung-Gu Sung-Shim Hospital, and from 1994 to 1998 he was a resident of Otolaryngology. He furthered his education at Chung-Ang University, completing a Master of Science in pathology in 1997, and a PhD in pathology in 1999.
Throughout his career, he has authored a number of publications, and contributed a number of research papers to professional journals. Among his publications are “The History of Eustachian Tube Catheterization,” “Diagnosis & Treatment of Mechanical Obstruction of Eustachian Tube,” and “Vertigo due to Eustachian Tube Dysfunction.” Additionally, he has served as editor-in-chief of the Journal of Otolaryngology since 2016. For his service and accomplishments throughout his career, he has received a number of honors and awards. Among these honors are a Letter of Commendation from the Seoul Gwanak Gu Medical Association, the President’s Active Lifestyle Award, and the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award.
